50-Mile Week

Today: 7.5 miles
Week: 50.5 miles
Workout: From 63rd Street on the west side, I ran counter clockwise around Central Park. When I got to 86th Street on the west side, I hopped onto the reservoir and did one loop. After the loop, I ran back to the YMCA. Six 80-meter strides at the end of the run.

I woke up at 7:00 a.m. this morning and was relieved that I decided not to do the NYRRC Long Training Run #1. I promptly went back to sleep and woke up at noon.

The total run today was 53:47. The 6-mile loop took me 43:05, and the loop of the reservoir took 10:42. The overall pace was about 7:00/mile. I was feeling really good and was probably doing sub-7:00/mile for the last 2 miles. It was another great day for a run.
